Using BIOSAL Black Mud

BIOSAL® Black Mud, also referred to as Mineral Mud at times, is the purified natural black mud in powder form and is therefore particularly beneficial and effective, preserving all its natural ingredients, particularly the minerals and trace elements. In addition, it does not need to be heated as liquid face masks. Stir BIOSAL® Black Mud Powder in a small container with a little hot water and your mud mask is ready.

As a face mask, BIOSAL® Black Mud Powder is recommended for all skin types. For normal to dry skin one application per week is sufficient, oily or impure skin is treated twice a week. When applying the facial mask and even some time after rinsing off the skin, it is often perceived as warm and tingling. This is due to the circulatory-stimulation and toning effect of the mask.

For the treatment of scalp and hair, massage BIOSAL® Black Mud into the hair. After drying, rinse. Strengthens the hair roots, removes dandruff from the scalp and excess fat from the hair.

BIOSAL® Black Mud is particularly suited for treating skin problems in difficult parts of the body (e.g. elbows, back). Simply apply the mud, allow 20 minutes to dry, then wash off.

Therapy Instructions

Facial beauty masks
Dissolve one teaspoon of the mud powder in a heat resistant container with hot water (e.g. porcelain, glass) until a brush-ready liquid cream is produced. To maintain the mask’s hot temperature, you may wish to leave the vessel in a correspondingly larger, with hot water filled container.

Now apply the mask in with a skin-friendly temperature to the face (with your fingers or a wooden spatula), with the head leaning back, laying warm, moist towels on the mask (compresses), and repeating the compress operation as required, for a total of 7 to 10 minutes for dry skin, and 10 to 15 minutes with oily skin.

Then rinse the face (pay attention to the eye areas!) with lukewarm water. Sensitive areas can be treated by applying the appropriate skin cream (we particularly recommend the BIOSAL® Cream R11).

Treatment of pain
Prescribed procedure is also suitable for the treatment of pain resulting from arthritis and rheumatism. Subsequent specified differences (compared with face mask) are to be observed:

- Instead of teaspoon, use soupspoon
- The mud is applied thicker, also on edges where no pain is noted.

The treated body parts are wrapped in a thin plastic film, on which moist warm towels (compresses) are placed, or rolled and secured accordingly. The compresses should be repeated several times, for a total of 20 minutes.

Described treatment should be performed once daily (preferably in the evening before bedtime) for 4 to 6 consecutive days, or longer if the pain persists.
